A great journey with Virgin Trains!

Omniplex-virgin-trains-blended-learining.jpgThanks to Virgin Trains for a really interesting Omniplex eLC event. Attendees enjoyed a complete tour of Virgin Trains Talent Academy in Crewe including their on-site Pendolino train. One of the interesting aspects was how Virgin Trains have used the Grayrigg train derailment as a catalyst to build a fantastic crisis response training programme and facility.

In addition, there was a lively debate about blended learning and the suitability of different training delivery options for the components of a variety of topics.  The discussion set the scene for considering the role of technology-based learning in comparison with face-to-face delivery and how moving out of a classic classroom format presents a wider range of opportunities when transitioning a course to blended learning.
