If you are in the process of looking for a learning management system and find the process to be overwhelming, I dont blame you. Whether youve never had an LMS before or dislike the one you currently have, you understand its no easy task searching through the sea of vendors and products out there.

As another English summer draws towards a close (yes, already), cricket fans amongst you will still be revelling in another Ashes victory for the England cricket team. Having just comprehensively beaten the old enemy Australia, one area of controversy still rumbles on whilst the dust settles; DRS. The Decision Review System is a technology-based system used in cricket for the sole purpose of reviewing controversial decisions (mistakes!) made by the on-field umpires in the case of a batsman being dismissed or not. For the uninitiated, cricket is a sport steeped in tradition and history, the need for use of technology in the game is still under debate. But DRS, essentially, is designed to stop mistakes. It ensures the right decision is made, live during the event, and that the cricket system isnt failing.

There is a wealth of knowledge and inspiration waiting for you on YouTube, all generously created and shared with you by strangers. And the sheer number of videos on YouTube speaks to a deeper truth. Video works. It is popular. People like it, and your learners will too, because you know what? - they're people, too.

With an estimated 77% of US corporations using eLearning today, it is a proven method to train and teach, as long as it is done in the right way. One difference between classroom training and eLearning is that in classroom training you are not able to slow down, pause, rewind, and often interact. But with eLearning you can do just that: slow down, pause, rewind and interact. If I had a remote control for my classroom training at college and could have pushed pause on the professor to make sure my notes were perfect word for word, would I have found my coursework and exams easier? I think so!

I realize Ive not formally introduced myself here on the blog. So here goes; my name is Adriann Haney and I have the pleasure of working for Omniplex helping to build their US presence. I live in Buckingham County, Virginia, which is the middle of nowhere. However, if you were to look it up on a map, it would tell you Im about an hour west of Richmond, VA (the Capital of VA). Buckingham is a pretty area with rolling hills but it is for sure the country and suits my hobby of raising and riding horses.
